ID 2418: Facial EMG Biofeedback Intervention for Depressive Mood Reduction

Biofeedback is a process that enables an individual to understand and control their physiological activity to enhance both health and performance. This project aims to investigate the feasibility of automatic and manual biofeedback for reducing depressive mood and suggests that this training could be a useful tool for individuals with depressive disorder. We are collecting data from individuals during reappraisal training. The data will be analyzed to evaluate the effectiveness of biofeedback and compare the efficacy of manual versus automatic conditions.

 

Tasks: 

 

  • Collaborate on data collection
  • Conduct data analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of the Biofeedback method
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress and challenges
  • Contribute to documentation and reports detailing project findings and methodologies

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Sufficient knowledge of bio signals particularly EMG
  • Proficient in Python programming
  • Good command of English for effective communication
