ID2455: Investigating Patient Adherence in Home Monitoring
Project / Research Internship
Background
Are you interested in clinical research, data analysis, and exploring the real-world challenges of digital health technologies? Join our research team to analyze data from a clinical trial investigating the effects of physiotherapy and home-based training in parkinsonian syndromes. The study included a home monitoring component where patients used sensors to perform gait tests at home or wore them passively throughout the day. This project will focus on understanding patient adherence to home monitoring and its impact on data quality.
Tasks
- Analyze data to define and identify adherence with home monitoring protocols.
- Compare adherence rates between active and passive monitoring tasks.
- Investigate changes in adherence over time and their effect on data quality
- Visualize and interpret findings using statistical and computational methods
Requirements
- Strong interest in clinical research and patient behavior
- Experience with data analysis (ideally R, or Python) and statistical methods
- Good communication skills to summarize findings in written and visual formats
