Björn studied Computer Science at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State UniversityStuttgart in cooperation with the Robert Bosch GmbH. In his Bachelor Thesis, he applied object detection in an agricultural setting to reduce the environmental impact of conventional agriculture. This real-world application of AI inspired him to pursue his master’s degree in the AI Master’s program at the FAU. He did his master’s thesis on Large-Scale Dataset Pruning in Adversarial Training through Data Importance Extrapolation at the MaD lab.

After a short break, he joined the MaD lab team again as a PhD student on a joint project with Siemens Healthineers. The project deals with the application of Large Language Models in the domain of customer support.

Welcome to the team!
