Abstract
As more and more tracking systems for different sports become available, their precision, accuracy and reliability has to be evaluated,
to be able to define the applications they can be used for.
The goal of this project is to design and execute application specific evaluations that should help practitioners to decide which tracking system suits their needs.
We use automated scenarios, driven by different robotic positioning systems (segway plattform & 3D-positioning system) that can be especially used to support a continuous development of tracking systems because of their repetability.
Body worn reference systems can be used during tracks and games perfomed by athletes to assess the performance of tracking systems in their specific application.
