We develop algorithms to allow embedded real-time analysis of biomedical signals (like the Electrocardiogram or Electromyogram). This is either used for scientific experimental applications or actual diagnosis of diseases, e.g. arrhythmia detection in the human heart activation cycle.
In the area of biofeedback we visualise biomedical signals, for example with virtual reality systems like the HTC Vive, and allow users to interact with these visualisations. The goal is to increase body awareness and control which can be used e.g. for stress reduction or cognitive control in sports.
In addition to our research projects we also teach these topics in our lecture “Biomedical Signal Analysis”.
